The former leaders maintained peace with a steady administration
Things would change which was one daunting realization
All the prosperity gained was strained, yielding to corruption
It arrived so suddenly, nobody could've predicted this disruption
Promising promises were made but there was zero accountability
Nobody doubted his capability as he accepted this responsibility
Yet, time passed, doubt amassed, the people became disenchanted
Activists ranted, it was useless, the seeds were already planted
His actions were honorable after disaster struck in September
One tragic morning that everybody would forever remember
Americans hungered for constant updates to this unfolding drama
Speeches were made, we'd soon get revenge against Osama
That didn't last because there were paternal scores to settle
Their fictional justification was unstable as a wilted rose petal
March arrived, bombs started falling in Iraq's night sky
People predicted small numbers of soldiers that might die
This wouldn't last, they'd come home before April arrived
There'd be few casualties, most soldiers would've survived
Circumstances changed and we've been there much longer
We're no closer, their forces have only become stronger
He remains distracted, blinded by power, got carried away
Ignoring the war, caring about whose getting married today
His first term was lackluster, his second is clearly worse
Watching the news makes me think we're severely cursed
Stop the madness, every law created is completely blind
He tried to fix education, now every child is left behind
Someone needs to verify every word coming out of his mouth
Taking too long helping those needing it down south
Send this to Washington so Bush can read every word
Whoever is elected next will be better than the 43rd
